Etienne Malec founded Baltic in 2016 from his late father's vintage watch collection. Launched via Kickstarter in 2017 (€514k raised on a €65k goal), the brand reissues 1940s-50s designs with modern reliability — manual winding, heat-blued hands, sector dials — at a price point that respects the wearer. Designed in France, assembled in Besançon, the historic home of French watchmaking.
