Anordain is the only watchmaker in the UK producing fired enamel dials in-house. Founded by Lewis Heath in Glasgow in 2018, the seven-person workshop hand-fires each dial in a process that takes three days per piece — a depth and warmth no printed surface can match.
A 38mm time-only with a pure cream-white grand feu enamel dial. Grand feu enamel is fired at over 800°C; failure rates approach 50% even for experienced workshops. Anordain produces this dial finish in-house, making them one of fewer than ten ateliers worldwide doing so. Custom typography inspired by British Ordnance Survey maps. Hand-tempered straw-coloured hands.
Anordain's flagship 38mm dress watch with the world's first fumé enamel dial — a smoked gradient effect refined over years in the Glasgow workshop. Each dial is hand-fired multiple times in the kiln until the gradient blue achieves the depth that printing cannot replicate. Sellita SW210 hand-wound, sapphire crystal. The seven-person team in Glasgow produces fewer than 800 pieces per year across all references.
